Washing
Our quilts are made with quality fabric and threads meaning the structure can withstand multiple washes. Our fabrics, in general, are not pre-washed. In order to preserve the life of your quilt and safeguard your quilt and other items, we recommend the following washing and drying instructions.
1. Wash in cold water on delicate cycle.
2. Wash with like colors and we highly recommend that you wash separately for the first couple washes .
Alternatively or in conjunction we recommend using Tide Color Catchers in your wash to prevent other articles from being affected.
3. If your quilt has lots of dark colors or has red/pink fabrics we highly recommend washing separately with Tide Color Catchers until you start to notice little to no color on the catchers.
4. Your quilt can be dried on medium heat. Please note that the smooth look of your quilt when it arrives will only be maintained if you do not dry. If that is the look you wish to keep, please hang or air dry your quilt. Drying your quilt will give it the most rustic or traditional look (bumpy or wrinkled). This is due to the batting shrinking during the drying process. This is a personal preference.
