Meet The Quilted Penguin 

Combine the love of penguins, crafts, and quilting and you get The Quilted Penguin. Our owner and founder, Amanda McCraw grew up through the years snuggled under quilts that were hand sewn by her grandmother. Unfortunately, she never got the chance to learn the beautiful craft of quilting from her grandmother, but she was determined to carry on the legacy. She took the opportunity while living in small town Texas, to find colleagues and the town quilt shop willing to help her learn it all. In 2011, the first ever quilt was made and given away to one cute and deserving recipient. The rest is history. Amanda started expanding beyond quilting in 2018, when the love of her life asked her to be his wife. There was no other option in her mind but to design and make the invites, the decorations, the signs, the favors, and everything in between. A penguin? What does that have to do with anything? Amanda has always had a love of penguins, so why not combine her passions into one thing, a small business! The Quilted Penguin is a one lady show, but it's only fair to give some credit to Mr. Quilted Penguin, Matt McCraw, Amanda's supportive and patient husband. From spending hours in fabric stores, to helping her think through her crazy ideas, she couldn't do it without him.
